Atlanta Med is Back Again!
Married to Medicine is a show that follows friends and family of some of the most outrageous practitioners in Atlanta. With three doctors, and three doctors’ wives starring on the show, there is a ton of drama to be witnessed and no shortage of style.

Season 4 has some interesting twists and turns for each of the ladies, starting with the return of Mariah Huq, the show’s creator, who was out for the entirety of the third season to recover from her miscarriage. Quad is just as fun and outrageous as ever, even with her new baby in the home. Also, Lisa Nicole is making it well known that her mama-clock is ticking again, and she might just need to explore having a third child soon.

Dr. Simone starts out the season with some difficult news and emotional reality when she finds out that her father is missing. Toya and Eugene are in trouble with the IRS, putting their financial lives out there for all of America to see. Dr. Heavenly is focused on transparency and being a better person when she speaks with their friends and loved ones. Dr. Jackie is growing her career and her giving side, but her husband is more focused on retiring.

Last but not least, there’s a new doctor’s wife in the house! Genise Shelton, wife of Dr. Courtney Shelton is joining the group for this new season.

Reviews Are Rough.
IMDb voters rank the series at 5.0 out of 10 with just over 100 votes cast. Not too great of a rating, even for a Bravo reality drama series. Viewers are commenting about how this series feels a little less staged than some of the other Housewives shows, but many still feel it is condescending and insulting to intelligent African-American women. There is even a petition to Bravo being signed by many women who feel the show inaccurately portrays female African-Americans in medicine, making it more difficult for students to earn internships.

Viewership Strength.
This show has enjoyed relatively strong ratings and viewership since its debut. The first season premiere on March 24, 2013, had 1.89 million viewers watching and the second season premiere on April 6, 2014, shot up to 2.4 million viewers, making it the most watch season so far. The third season fell short on its premiere on June 7, 2015, with only 1.33 million watchers, and the finale on October 11, 2015, had only 0.72 million viewers.

Season 4 premiered on November 6, 2016, after a year-long hiatus, and earned a demo rating of 0.71 with 1.67 million viewers tuned in. Things are already looking better than last season for this show, and with the network premiering the first spin-off, #MM: Houston, on November 11, 2016, this is another Bravo franchise that’s not about to give up any time soon.

There haven’t been any official announcements about a season 5 for this show, but unless the ratings and viewership for the remainder of season 4 completely tank, there should be some renewal news coming down the pipes anytime now.

#MarriedMedicine airs on Sunday nights at 9pm ET on Bravo. It is also available to purchase for all devices on Amazon, iTunes, Google play, and Vudu.
